“Julian of Norwich”
A print from the original painting by Marcy Hall.

Julian is often thought of as the patron saint of cats, the anxious, and contemplatives.

Each vivid print is on acid free, archival quality matte photo paper and measures 5"x10" and is mounted on a 11"x14" matte. The print is hand-signed and titled on the matte.

As an Anchoress, Julian of Norwich lived most of her life in quiet contemplation in her cell. In this painting we catch her in a moment of joy, dancing with her companion cat. One of her cell's windows looks out upon the hills of Norwich, and one looks inside to the altar at St. Julian's Church to which her cell was attached.

The Dancing Monk series is a collaboration between Pennsylvania painter Marcy Hall of Rabbit Room Arts, and author Christine Valters Paintner of Abbey of the Arts, a virtual monastery based in Ireland.

This print is even more beautiful in person. The colors are vibrant and it came with a lovely blue matting so I could frame it easily. Julian is a companion of mine in my research and dissertation, and I love having her depicted on my wall. I will be ordering more from this shop for gifts!

This product is described as 11in x 14 inches. The actual image is like 5in x 10in, with a huge border around it. This is not what I wanted, and not what the listing shows. It doesn't show a border around the drawing. If you go to the app version, it shows a second picture on someone's wall and you can tell that the picture is much smaller, but this second image doesn't show up on the computer unless you scroll down through the comments. 5x10 = 50sq in. 11x14=154 sq in. The image is roughly 1/3 the space of the whole thing. While it is true that the description states that the actual image part is 5x10, it is in the grayed out part that comes up when you expand the description. I just saw that I loved the pic and bought it based on the only picture you posted. Next time post more than one picture please.

I love it so much ❤️

We were so excited to see St. Julian and her cat among your listings! Our campus ministry is named after St. Francis so the inclusion of animals in your depictions of the dancing saints made us so happy! I love the size of the piece because I can see all the details I missed in the listing. It is very well done and produced.

The print was amazing and signed by the artist. It was a perfect gift!
