“Claire of Assisi”
A print from the original painting by Marcy Hall.
Claire is known as the patron saint of bicycle messengers and is pictured with her ginger companion cat. Clare is also the patron saint of many interesting things including laundry, needleworkers, and television.
Each vivid print is on acid free, archival quality matte photo paper and measures 5"x10" and is mounted on a 11"x14" matte. The print is hand-signed and titled on the matte.
Clare of Assisi was an Italian saint and one of the first followers of Francis of Assisi. She founded the Order of Poor Ladies, a monastic religious order for women in the Franciscan tradition, and wrote their Rule of Life, the first set of monastic guidelines known to have been written by a woman.
The Dancing Monk series is a collaboration between Pennsylvania painter Marcy Hall of Rabbit Room Arts, and author Christine Valters Paintner of Abbey of the Arts, a virtual monastery based in Ireland.

We are a campus ministry named after St. Francis so obviously we had to get St. Clare! The words around the top of the piece are especially great for a campus ministry as we work with people in a transitional time in their lives. We love all the details, especially all the animals. The print is very well done and we cannot wait to hang it in our foyer!
