Howard Thurman was an American theologian and educator as well as a writer, philosopher, and civil rights leader. He became a mentor to other leaders such as Martin Luther King, Jr. In 1944, he co-founded the first major interracial and interdenominational church.
The Dancing Monk series is a collaboration between Pennsylvania painter Marcy Hall of Rabbit Room Arts, and author Christine Valters Paintner of Abbey of the Arts, a virtual monastery based in Ireland.

I've recently been introduced to Howard Thurman and he's quickly become a hero of mine. This print absolutely crackles with Thurman's own vibrancy as a writer. I'm so glad to have this in my home.
